Credit card fraud is increasing everyday. Here are some tips to help protect your self from daily credit card fraud.
1. Pay attention - Every time you use your credit card, pay attention to your surroundings. When using your credit card make sure its given back to you every time. Do not loose sight of your credit card.
2. Don’t give out your credit card - Giving your credit card number to someone is a risky thing. Make sure you know exactly who you are giving you credit card number to. When on the phone make sure your are talking to a trust worthy company. Never give out your credit card information on random phone calls. These phone calls will ask you for your credit card number, this is a red flag.
3. Emails - Credit card thief has become a major issue on the internet. One way thief’s try and get your number is to send you a email asking you to visit a website. Usually these websites are set up to take your credit card number. These sites are called “phishing” websites. Sites like these can looking like trusted websites but be careful when getting these emails. These credit card scams affect people on the internet everyday.
